01 — The Challenge

PS Business Parks is a leading industrial-focused REIT, and the engagement covered a full elevation of market position - print redesign, a UX/UI overhaul, and new web development. The technical center of gravity was narrower and harder than any of that: integrating PSBP's existing custom property-management tool with a newly built database to power a custom property availability map.

02 — The Approach

I built a custom admin panel with reusable templates on ACF as the CMS backbone, keeping repository management and code review as standard practice rather than a one-time cleanup. After launch, the work extended into custom Zoom event pages and branded email notifications that matched PSBP's updated visual identity, and the relationship became an ongoing one - continued maintenance and updates rather than a single handoff.

04 — The Outcome

The relaunch landed alongside a strong run for PS Business Parks - the stock was up roughly 23% in the period around launch. In April 2022, Blackstone Real Estate agreed to take the company private for $7.6 billion at $187.50 a share, a ~15% premium to the prior 60-day average; the deal closed that July.

The thesis was the portfolio itself - 27 million square feet of industrial and flex space, high occupancy, low leverage - not anything I built. What the work did do was make that portfolio legible: an availability map that finally reflected its real complexity, an admin panel the leasing team could keep current without a developer, and a client relationship that ran years past the original scope. Being the digital front door of a REIT through the run-up to an exit that size is the kind of context I'll take. The properties trade today under Blackstone's Link Parks brand, on a site rebuilt from the ground up.
